Jimmy T. Wood founded the company in 1951, starting with just one dump truck. As demand for cargo transportation grew, so did the company – establishing a rock-solid reputation for capabilities and service excellence. More than a half-century later, the Wood family and their partners continue to ensure quality for every customer, big or small.
If it can be strapped to a truck, we’ve probably hauled it, and our specialized capabilities have given us some remarkable stories to tell. Jimmy T. Wood has moved massive historical artifacts and technology components weighing hundreds of tons. We delivered all 150,000 tons of construction aggregate for the international runway at Memphis International Airport, and we transported the gigantic concrete beams used for the city’s new Walnut Grove overpass.
Jimmy T. Wood is also proud to play an active civic role locally and regionally – from hauling Habitat for Humanity homes to supplying trucks and drivers to assist with Hurricane Katrina relief in 2005.
For unsurpassed service, industry-leading capabilities, and absolute integrity, call on Jimmy T. Wood.
